The Kimberleys invite you to join them in September for a long weekend of Folk music and sightseeing in the South of France.

Join Isobel and Jim for four days and three nights of relaxed music making, communal meals and trips to see sights of local interest.

In the foothills of the Black Mountains just outside historic Carcassonne, Caunes-Minervois is a stunning medieval village with a growing reputation as a hub for the arts and artists.

Flying into Carcassonne airport, you will be chauffeured to Au Pont Romain in Caunes-Minervois and will be welcomed on the first night with an alfresco meal, drinks and music.

Days two and three will offer sightseeing trips to La Cite and the surrounding countryside, a concert in one of the beautifully European local venues, and time to relax and bask by the on-site swimming pool.

Isobel and Jim are attentive and charming hosts. You will have the opportunity to go on guided walks (suitable for a range of mobilities), socialise with the group, or take time for yourself in peace and sunshine.

Famous as a wine region producing high-quality and low-sulphate vintages, bottomless Minervois wine will be provided.

We make every effort to accommodate friends together, in your own gite. On the rare occasion where group sizes make this impossible, we will ensure that guests feel relaxed and comfortable with accommodation arrangements. Each gite has its own lounge, kitchenette, bathroom and outdoor space.

Breakfast and dinner are included in the cost, as are all travel and events once you have arrived at Carcassonne airport. If you wish to bring an instrument, you are encouraged to do so, there will be ample opportunity for music making in a friendly environment.

This year’s On Holiday experience costs £512.

There is an additional local tax of approximately £2 per person per night which will be payable by you directly to our hosts at Au Pont Romain.
